Top Navigation and Maps Apps in Austria: Q4 2024 Overview

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the navigation and maps app landscape in Austria showed varied trends across the top five apps, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a consistent weekly download rate, starting at 7.7K and peaking at 8.2K downloads in mid-October. The app's weekly active users fluctuated around 3.9M, ending the quarter with a slight increase to 3.8M.

Google Earth experienced a steady user base, with weekly downloads ranging from 2.8K to 4K, peaking at the end of December. Active users hovered around 55K to 65K, showing a modest increase towards the end of the quarter.

Austria's own ÖAMTC app saw a rise in downloads, starting at 2.4K and reaching over 4.1K by the end of December. The app's revenue remained low, while active users increased notably from 22K to 39K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic showed stable performance with weekly downloads around 2.2K to 3.4K. Active users fluctuated slightly, starting at 64K and ending the quarter at approximately 58K.

Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS had a strong revenue performance, peaking at $7.3K in late November. Downloads varied between 1.8K and 2.4K, while active users saw a significant rise from 18K to over 25K.
